Supervising the educational process, implementing approved policies and programs in the areas of student affairs, and providing supporting educational services.

Responsibilities of the Vice Dean

First: Planning

  1. Preparing students’ academic schedules in the academic departments and coordinating with other colleges in cooperation with the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the Academic Scheduling Committee.
  2. Forming the committees and units affiliated with the Vice Deanship and defining their duties and responsibilities.

Second: Follow-up

  1. Supervising the administration of final examinations and forming their committees in coordination with the academic departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
  2. Supervising the implementation of admission and transfer regulations to and from the College and between academic departments.
  3. Supervising requests for deferment and withdrawal from study, as well as course withdrawal and registration processes for undergraduate students, in accordance with the applicable regulations and decisions.

Third: Evaluation

Submitting periodic reports to the Dean of the College on the performance of the units under the Vice Dean’s supervision in accordance with their assigned duties, as well as the challenges and difficulties encountered.

Fourth: Authorities

  1. Approving students’ requests to withdraw from a semester in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  2. Approving students’ requests to transfer from one academic specialization to another in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  3. Approving increases in the number of students enrolled in course sections in coordination with the relevant departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
  4. Approving requests for extensions, reinstatement, and make-up examinations in accordance with the applicable regulations.
  5. Approving lists of students subject to academic deprivation and submitting them in accordance with the applicable regulations.
