Establishment of the University
It was established by Royal Decree No. 11, dated 25/3/1381 AH, followed by Royal Decree No. 21, dated 16/4/1381 AH, ratifying the Statute of the University’s Supreme Advisory Council. Studies commenced on Sunday, Jumada Al-Thani 2, of the same year.
On 18/5/1386 AH, Royal Decree No. M/18 was issued approving the University Statute. Subsequently, another system for the university was enacted pursuant to Royal Decree No. M/70, dated 7/8/1395 AH.
