The Establishment and Mission of the Department of Tafsir (Exegesis) and Quranic Sciences
Establishment:
The Department of Tafsir and Quranic Sciences was established concurrently with the founding of the college under Royal Decree No. (26511) dated 6/9/1394 H, during the blessed month of Ramadan. This establishment was based on the recommendation of the Higher Advisory Council of the Islamic University, which convened from 12/4/1394 H to 20/4/1394 H.
Mission of the Department:
The department's mission is to focus on the science of interpreting the Holy Quran and to enrich specialized scientific research, serving both the local and international communities.
