The Islamic University affirmed its active presence in the national digital landscape through its participation in the "Absher 2024 Digital Transformation Forum," held in Riyadh at the Security Forces Officers Club under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior. The university was represented by the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Systems, Dr. Saad bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, and the Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Hussam bin Salem Al-Harbi, representing the College of Engineering.
Dr. Al-Qahtani contributed to a workshop on "Information Security in the Digital Age," presenting the latest advances in cybersecurity and future trends in digital protection, and addressing the importance of safeguarding digital infrastructure from growing cyber threats.
Dr. Al-Harbi enriched a scientific session on "Global Innovation Methodologies," sharing applied models from leading global companies and their role in driving digital transformation.
The forum featured expert contributions from the National Cybersecurity Authority, SDAIA, Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, and Elm Company. Sessions included "Innovation in Digital Transformation: Driving Change Toward the Future," "Digital Leadership in the Age of Technology and Data," and "The Global AI Race." The forum also highlighted the achievements of the Ministry of Interior and regional emirates in digital transformation and their connection to Saudi Vision 2030.
In closing, the Ministry of Interior honored Dr. Al-Qahtani and Dr. Al-Harbi in recognition of their distinguished scientific contributions throughout the forum.
